Burst to Life

by I Took Your Name

supported by

The latest single by I Took Your Name. A short, sweet and lush ballad featuring piano, vocals and a wash of sounds.

'Once you'll burst to life'
I'd say it to myself
'You'll like what you have, and love yourself'

'You want too much from life'
I'd say it to myself
Certain things just happen overnight

A stone wall to protect yourself
Won't keep out your enemies
But it won't let in what you might need

'Once you'll burst to life'
I'd say it to myself
'Don't lose control along the way'

'Once you live, you'll learn to love yourself
Cause it's all you have on your way to the end'

I Took Your Name Groningen, Netherlands

The original plan was to make an ambient guitar record about rail yards. All that audiotransparent and kendler guitar player Chris van der Ploeg came up with was songs. He christened his project I Took Your Name, the name borrowed from an R.E.M. song.
